Description
Orange blossom flavored honey
Why did you make orange blossom flavored honey?
Orange blossom is our DNA and we were born in Bar sur loup, the City of the Orange Tree.
We have always seen our grandparents, then our parents, picking orange blossom.
This flower, which is part of the exceptional Flowers of the Pays de Grasse, capsizes our hearts and minds.
So we searched and invented new uses for Orange Blossom and we thought of making a flavored honey.
There are many recipes from the Mediterranean region where honey and orange blossom are found side by side. Unfortunately, often either one or the other or even both remain of modest quality and the benefits are thus diminished.
This is why we wanted to bring together these two ingredients in a sumptuous myriad of sweetness where the virtues of honey and the flavors of orange blossom are completely delivered to you, all year round.
Orange Blossom Culture
The cultivation of the bitter orange tree (citrus aurantium) is very old in Bar sur Loup. Thus, on our various family plots and the land that we exploit, we have trees of all ages: from centenarians to young plants of the year.
The tree is planted in warm soil, ideally in summer, then it is watered, hoeed, amended, pruned (in June after the flower harvest), treated naturally against pests and to compensate for various soil deficiencies.
For honey flavored with orange blossom, only the freshly picked flower is used, but for other productions, the browse (green pruning of young branches and newly formed oranges) harvested at the beginning of summer and the oranges that will be harvested at the end of winter will be used from this tree.

The design of this orange blossom honey was long and difficult. It is a delicate product that tends to become very bitter depending on the contact time and the ambient temperature. It is therefore a real challenge to be able to ensure a balance each year because, and this is the game of nature, everything changes depending on the climatic conditions. So we hope that this aromatic maceration will fully satisfy you, you lovers of orange blossom
