Meet Terroir-06 on April 1st, 2024 at the Fête de l’Oranger du Bar sur Loup
**La Fête de l’Oranger** in Bar-sur-Loup** is a joyous event to be held on Easter Day, April 1, 2024. It’s an opportunity to celebrate the bigarade orange tree, the region’s emblem, and to highlight the richness of local agriculture.
Here’s an overview of the program for this festive day:
– 9 a.m.**: Stalls open for exhibitors at the producers’ and craftsmen’s market.
– 9:30am**: Bitter orange jam competition hosted by the Aubarnencs. If you’ve made a delicious bitter orange jam, bring a jar of your own to the Town Hall reception desk!
– 10 a.m.**: Street entertainment begins with folk groups and jazz music.
– 11 a.m.**: Orange wine competition heats. Local producers compete to present their best orange wine.
– 2pm**: Street entertainment resumes to liven up the atmosphere.
– 3 p.m.**: Finals of the orange wine competition. Who will win the title?
– 4pm**: Concert by Canté Music in the church of Saint-Jacques le Majeur.
– 5:30pm**: Prize-giving ceremony for the jam and orange wine competitions.
