Why Make Lemon Flavored Honey?
Our citrus honeys meet our desire to obtain a gourmet and very healthy product. Indeed, they have the right ratio of slow sugar and the low glycemic index of an acacia honey. All the components of the citrus fruit are combined with its vitamins, which have remained intact because the product has never been heated.
Lemon tree cultivation on the Côte d’Azur
The lemon we grow is quite special because it produces two harvests of lemons. It is therefore more work because it is necessary to regularly select and prune to keep the most productive branches and twigs.
As a general rule, it is very important to provide essential nutrients in 3 times depending on the size of the tree but also its soil. Do not neglect the supply of minerals, in particular zinc and boron, which before fruit set will support the setting of fruits and their maintenance until maturity.
Making Lemon Flavored Honey
We have developed this honey following the initial objective of obtaining a product as healthy as possible. Thus neither our mandarins nor our honey have experienced a temperature higher than 35 ° C, which allows to preserve all the enzymes and vitamins intact while giving a very tasty mixture.
USES OF LEMON FLAVORED HONEY
While mandarin honey is more suitable for strong meats, lemon honey will go better with white meats such as poultry, white fish and oily fish such as salmon or trout.
Its presence in fresh starters, in a scattered touch in a salad with cucumber, dill, apple and fromage blanc for example will be a pleasant surprise just as in a dessert.
It also refreshes all your drinks and will give you the pep you need to start the day off on the right foot!
